Jessica Prizer Psy.D.
Dr. Jessica Prizer is a Licensed Psychologist with offices in Westchester and Manhattan. She specializes in evidence-based treatments for children, adolescents and young adults with anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, emotion regulation difficulties, and behavioral challenges. Additionally, she is trained in parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), and PCIT adapted for selective mutism (PCIT-SM). Dr. Prizer has extensive experience working with children with selective mutism in one-day and multi-day intensives. Dr. Prizer utilizes a warm, empathetic, and collaborative approach to help patients and their families achieve their goals.
She has led multiple therapeutic groups, including social anxiety groups, parent management training (PMT) for parents of children with ADHD and disruptive behaviors, DBT skills groups for adolescents and children, and groups for parents of children with anxiety using supportive parenting for anxious childhood emotions (SPACE). Additionally, she provides school consultation and teacher trainings to help patients generalize treatment gains.
Dr. Prizer has provided therapeutic services across various settings, including the St. John’s Center for Psychological Services, Pleasantville Union Free School District, and Columbia University Clinic for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CUCARD). Dr. Prizer completed her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Cognitive and Behavioral Consultants (CBC), where she provided individual and group therapy, conducted neuropsychological evaluations, and trained schools across the tristate area in the implementation of DBT and CBT.
Before earning her doctoral degree from St. John’s University, Dr. Prizer received a master’s degree in school psychology. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University, where she graduated with a psychology major.
